Hands-on Techniques
Targeted
Hands-on Techniques can include things like soft tissue massage & joint mobilisations. These techniques can be very helpful, especially in the acute phase of an injury. The hands on work is targeted to your particular area of injury or another area of the body that might be contributing.
Hands on work is a great facilitator for more active treatments such as strength work or mobility exercises. Although we know that the active treatments are where most improvements are made, we do not discount the role in having some hands on treatment to help in reducing pain
